Obama pulling a "Clinton"? Obama aims for pro-gun vote

Barack Obama did not hunt or fish as a child. He lives in a big city. And as an Illinois state legislator and a U.S. senator, he consistently backed gun control legislation.

But he is nevertheless making a play for pro-gun voters in rural Pennsylvania.

By highlighting his background in constitutional law and downplaying his voting record, Obama is engaging in a quiet but targeted drive to win over an important constituency that on the surface might seem hostile to his views.

The need to craft a strategy aimed at pro-gun voters underscores the potency of the issue in Pennsylvania, which claims one of the nation’s highest per capita membership rates in the National Rifle Association....

Those of us who hang out on TFL know this is a "wolf in sheep's clothing" but we also probably know people who could be duped by Obama's rhetoric. :(
Now is the time to make sure we educate those people as to O's real thoughts on private ownership of firearms!

Obamas' backing of gun ownership and hunting is about as believable as the picture of John Kerry, dressed as a hunter and carrying a gun, was during the last presidential campaign.

Good point. I have seen some efforts to fool TFL members, but we are too smart for that BS. But I agree we should make people not aware of O's anti-gun rights beliefs what his true beliefs are.

Give me a break...

Only an idi.. uhm extremely naive person would believe that Obama was supportive of gunrights in any way, shape or form. What a joke.
