Oath of Office

When did the oath of office and the swearing in of the military change to protect the American people from themselves. I thought it emphasized the protection the Constitution of the United States against enemies foreign and domestic. Is not Feinstein, Boxer, Hillary, Kaiser Bill enemies of the Constitution due to the limiting of the importance and the public hatred of the document?

Do you have a reference for that?

According to this site, and this site. The following oath is taken by all personnel inducted into the armed forces of the United States, as found in the US Code, Section 502.

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>I, _________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.[/quote]

I don’t see anything about protecting "the American people from themselves."

Then why is Billy boy allowed to make references to the limiting of freedoms for his ability to edict protective measures on behalf of the people who can not think for themselves without facing impeachment?

Actually, he has faced impeachment. And he beat it. :(

Not only that, but the evidence was much more convincing and heinous than just talking about limiting freedoms. He still beat it. :( :(

I still don't see what the oath of service has to do with this, but I am feeling kinda dense today.

TheBluesMan actually he was impeached.... It's just that the Senate in sentencing him failed to remove him from office or impose any other form of punishment on him.
