I finally got a chance to shoot the Model 60 that came from the factory so out of time it was shaving lead. Frank Smith and Clyde Funk at Lone Star Guns of Plano, TX, a Warranty Center, gave it some TLC and all I can say is OOOH, AHHHH.
I had forgotten how sweet that feeling that only a Smith can provide. You know: "Squeeze, Spin, Click, BOOOM" in perfect timing. I only had time to shoot 100 rounds of Winchester White Box .38 Spec. 130 grainers and 110 Grain JHP .357's but it was sublime with no malfunctions of any kind and flawless ejection on the .357's and an occassional jiggle needed on the .38's.
Accuracy? Wel let's just say I need to spend some more quality time with the Mr. Snubby but oh the joy of "Squeeze,Spin, Click Booooom". Groupings were low but touching on several strings. The accuracy will come.
All I can tell you is I got to have some more of the silky smooth----Squeeze----Spin---Click---BOOOOM. Oooooooh, Aaaaaah.
