I have a 1917 Enfield in -06 that I sporterized with a wood stock several years ago. It is a nice rifle, but heavy as hell. Can anyone recommend a nylon stock for this rifle?

Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure Bell+ Carlson and MPI offer 1917 stocks. It is good to know if your guard has been straightened or is original. The B+C stock should be pretty much a drop in.The MPI's require some work. You had best be skilled at glass bedding, etc.Haven't used one,saw them at shows.
A synthetic stock is not always lighter.Look before you leap
I have not used these products. This is not a recommendation. The MPI's I saw were pretty rough and would take a lot of work

Dont remember the chapter and verse , but I remember reading somewhere that it was a SIN to put a plactic stock on a 1917 Enfield.
