Number 11 caps

I don't get it, everyone touts the #10 as being "THE" cap for revolvers but NONE of mine like it!
Often, it takes 2 hammer blows, one to shove the cap all way down, and one to fire it.
I have 6 revolvers and they all prefer a pinched #11!
ANyone else have this situation?
I know there's a lot of sage advice out here on the net, but I use what works and for me it's a #11!

My older Remington prefers 11s, also.
They're not perfect, but 10s are too tight.
They sometimes split open.
Of course, new nipples would cure the problem, but 11s do ok and I have them.

You're probably using CCIs. Get a wood dowel and use it to firmly seat the #10s. Just be mindful of where your fingers are.
Dynamit Nobel #1075s fit my Uberti Navy better than either of the CCIs and are what I prefer nowadays, though I can make the CCIs work.
I've never even seen Remington caps around here so I can't comment on them.

CCI #10 caps are smaller. #11 CCI caps are the same size as Remington #10 caps they are a little longer that's why they fit better. The other day i was shooting and i found some #11 Remington caps in my bag. They fit my revolver nipples well. I like using my Ted Cash Capper when i use #11 CCI caps size them first in a tool i made out of a pair of dollar store wire cutters.

Oops, yes, CCI 11s is what I have.
We never seem to get any other brand around here.
I did the same thing with an old pair of pliers.
Works good.
Now, if I could only find them.
El Cheapo, soft, made in China ones do nicely.
