Nubee Intro.

Hello everyone, I'm Steve a NUBEE.
I'm a member of other forums but I just found this one.
Thought I would introduce myself and share a recent purchase.
It's a Ruger .44 mag. semi-auto. I remember them from the late 60's,
a friend in Alaska had one. Anyway I found this one for sale local.
The bore is clean and bright and the wood is O.K.
but the rest was badly neglected. It was maybe the dirtiest gun
I have ever bought. Lots of people mistake it
for a 10-22 at first glance. It holds 4 in the tube
(hidden in the forestock) and one in the pipe. It loads like a shotgun.

Steve

Nice. Wouldn't mind having one myself. I am not sure I have ever actually seen one except in pictures.

I had one of them a real long time ago except that I put a Lyman receiver sight on it. it is a nice handling rifle but I think your scope will hinder that. it shot ok but I'm not sure why I bought it in the first place. the one problem it did have was ejecting rounds out of the magazine. Ruger replaced the trigger assembly and related parts(no charge) which fixed the problem.
