NRA v Brady--A Tale of Political Fund Raising

The comments on that page were pretty much spot on. The anti's raise money in other ways.

We have in Wisconsin a small group called the Wisconsin Anti Violence Effort. They're basically the Wisconsin arm of the Brady Campaign.

They have a 501(c)3 "educational fund." The last tax return of theirs that I looked at showed about $500,000. Then, in November of 2006, they received a $650,000 grant from the Joyce Foundation.

There isn't a single statewide pro-gun group that has even 5-10% of those amounts. What's even more disgusting (or maybe relieving) is that WAVE doesn't really do anything. It's all a matter of liberals giving money to a cause to make themselves feel good. Of course, the two or three people who run WAVE make out like bandits.
