NRA-the firearms community's Civil Liberties Union

Things are heating up a bit, and the anti gun liberals are again bashing the firearms community and the NRA as seen monday night
on CBS news peter jennings The Gun Fight
where jennings again refered to the NRA
as a "Deep Pockets Gun Lobby " and generally did a hatchet job on not only the NRA but also the firearms community. Many lies of ommission by jennings were witnessed, creating a skewed and biased picture of the NRA and the firearms community.

Well, we dont have to take this kind of abuse any longer; instead, let us take the gun grabbers to task over every barb they stick us with, each and every time they try it.

NRA, THE FIREARM COMMUNITY'S CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION.

This one sentence changes the terms in which Americans, wait, wrong word, democrats...
there is a difference, you know.

This one sentence changes the terms in which the democrats think of the gun debate.

No longer will they be able to improperly
accuse the NRA of being a deep pockets
special interest gun lobby group but will be forced to think of NRA as the civil liberties union for gun owners.

No longer will we permit crime contol to be used as the cover for gun contol.
You want crime contol, good, go and enforce
the laws we already have but do not try to use it as an excuse to rob me of my civil liberties and freedoms.

Gun contol equals victim disarmament and we will no longer permit the gun grabbers to
speak of gun control without demanding they
consider the positive benifits to society
of firearms ownership and the 2.5 million lives saved every year by law abiding gun owners preventing violence from starting
by lawfull use of firearms as a deterant to criminal violence. In 96% of these cases,
the law abiding gun owner never fires his
emergency criminal violence deterant tool.
Usually, it is enough for a criminal to know that you are armed to cause the criminal to break off his attack.

On the other hand, compair the 2.5 million lives saved by law abiding gun owners to the estimated lives saved by a total nationwide gun ban; criminals excluded because criminals wont turn in their crime guns or obey gun laws.

Gun control would be lucky to save 30,000
lives per year at the cost of 2.5 million lives needlessly lost when unarmed law abiding ex- gun owners could no longer use guns to prevent violence, just as we use fire extinguishers to prevent fires.

Please pass this post around, copy and paste to all your favorite boards, especially where anti gunners are exposed to it.

The NRA is the civil liberties union for
gun owners and is supported soley by law abiding gun owners dues and contributions.

And remember, in Nov.- PUT FREEDOM FIRST,
VOTE YOUR GUN RIGHTS, VOTE BUSH.

Interesting how the networks would never slam other lobbies - like the NEA and other unions that extort money from members to finance liberal candidates. The NRA has "deep pockets" not because they pillage people's payroll dues - but because 4,000,000 average citizens support what they do and voluntarily send them some of their hard earned money to fight for our rights. the NRA's power comes not from fat union reps, but from the people.

And they way they slammed them for trying to turn out the guy who voted against them. Good for him if he voted his conscience, but does he expect any more NRA money & support ? That's what lobbying is - we support you, you vote our way. Simple. Do you think the NEA, NOW, NARAL, etc. are any more forgiving of turncoats ??? gimme a break.
