A guy here at work is interested in joining the NRA. He saw an ad on TV that had a discount for 2 year memeberships and a "silver bullet"(?) for new members. i checked the web site and it looked like the same $60 for 2 years, gold and black ballcap, offer that I have seen for years. Anyone know of any current special offers?

Jack, In their half hour program, the NRA does offer a special membership rate and a silver bullet signed by Mr. Heston. To get the promotional rate they may have to call the 800 number televised in the program.. Or have him call the NRA for membership information. But make sure he joins, even if you have to help out with his membership dues.. Even more important, make sure he's a registered voter!!!!! Mark / FL
I tried to tell him that there were far more important reasons to join, but he really wants that !@#$ing bullet! I guess he'll have to try and catch the commercial again (and write the numer down this time), or call the regular 800 number and see if they will hook him up. Thanks for the help! I'm going to go pester another guy, who has let his membership laspe. The $45 for 2 years my get him motivated.
Got him his Chuck Heston bullet, just had him ask for it on the 800 line, also signed up 2 more (lapsed member and his wife) at the same time. Damn, maybe I should have been a recruiter! ("Now son, would I lie to you? You'll love Fort Bliss in the summer! Why do you think they call it "bliss"? It's like a vacation resort!")
