NRA Report With Peter Jennings

Has anyone seen the NRA interview with Peter Jennings this evening (10/9/00).

If so, what was your perception on how they reported the NRA. Jennings was trying to come down rather hard on LaPierre.

For all AZ posters for your info it is on at 11:35 tonight on ABC.I am goign to tape it and watch it tommorow.
 
Another advertisement for Gore. All those nasty Republicans with guns beating up on the poor Democrat from Michigan who just wanted some 'common sense gun laws'.

I don't always agree with the NRA but seeing ABC news try to light a fire under someone else for playing politics had me clapping my hand over my mouth to keep from puking on the couch. I think I was also grading papers at the time so that would have made a real mess. What a biased piece of homemade fertilizer. :rolleyes:

ABC's NRA Report may have helped recruit new members, and unify existing members. While I've been openly critical of the NRA's political compromises, this program left me thinking I may have been somewhat wrong. At last it appears the NRA has reached the point of no compromise in dealing with national licensing and registration. After viewing this program I am committed to paying for 2 new NRA memberships. Thanks to ABC's NRA Report I will also be recruiting new members.

Peter Jennings, the lost Canadian citizen, would really be disappointed to known that his "power piece" on the NRA actually helped with recruitment. I've considered e-mailing Jennings a thank you note for his assistance in recruiting new members ... but I won't waste my time on him.
