NRA membership for foreign nationals - ????

Hello - I am a foreign citizen living in the US. Yes, yes, legal and all that..."green" card and so on. I value and advocate gun rights for the individual as much as the next pro-2nd Ad. person. would I be allowed to join the NRA, or does the NRA require more information for vetting a foreign national? I've thought about it for a very long time, but never new if a distinction was made. Any advice is helpful. Thank you.

To the best of my recollection, the NRA doesn't ask a person's citizenship on their membership application.

As far as I know, there's no requirement that you be a U.S. citizen. In fact, I just looked on their signup page, and there is a blank to fill in your country, but no blank to fill in your citizenship.

I believe you would be just fine. Just give them a call at 1-877-672-2000 (1-877-NRA-2000). They will be able to help you as well as sign you up right over the phone.

Yes you can join the NRA as a green card holder.I actually became a life member when I had my green card before I became a citizen.:)

While overseas on a business trip to Puerto Rico, I stayed at a hotel in Ponce'.....down the hill was a shooting range with a large NRA sign hanging out front. IDPA shooters were blazing away. NRA has supporters and affiliates all over the world.

It's a valid point; but you'd be surprised how many Americans think Puerto Ricans are foreign (not realizing Puerto Rico has been a US holding since 1898).
