NRA: Making a Difference

I have received so many mailings from the NRA asking for money. They are really imaginative. Next, I expect them to offer me flee insurance for my hunting dog. Well, I don't have a dog. Anyway, I'm really impressed with their efforts. Even the main-stream media now sees the NRA as a major player. For all of their faults, they do seem to be making a difference. That makes me feel that money sent is money well spent. My first contribution to any political activity. I'm really impressed with their efforts. Even Gore has moderated his anti-gun stance. Of course, if elected, he would revert to P.C.B.S. :(

I am now a member of the NRA. I am a bit ticked off about their voting rules though. What exactly IS my say in the NRA at this point? I don't seem to actually be a member so much as a guy who is there to generate extra cash and numbers....

I haven't been a member long though, so if I'm missing something I'll find out soon enough.

The Bill of Rights is a document of brilliance, a document of wisdom, and it is the ultimate law, spoken or not, for the very concept of a society that holds liberty above the desire for ever greater power. -Me

I believe to become a voting member you must either be a member for five consecutive years or become a Life member.

The policy is for the protection of the NRA so that its internal elections cannot be hijacked.
