This little tidbit is included in the current NRA-ILA gun sweepstake package:
-------------------------------
PLEASE READ THIS SPECIAL NOTICE

As you know, sweepstakes promotions like this one are subject to many rules and regulations. this sweepstakes was created prior to Smith & Wesson's sell-out and surrender agreement with the Clinton-Gore Administration.

Legally, we cannot remove Smith & Wesson prizes from this sweepstakes. But we would if we could. And please be assured that unless and until Smith & Wesson ends its anti-gun appeasement efforts with the Clinton-Gore gun-ban machine, we will never again offer their products in a future sweepstakes.

You will of course be recieving more information about the Smith & Wesson sell-out in forthcoming NRA-ILA mailings. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

After the shoe is on the other foot, then comes the cob.

"No ma'am, that is not a gun in my pocket."

I was also entertained by the harsh article in the new American Rifleman about the sellout by the traitors at S&W.

Good for the NRA. I hope this time they don't let S&W off with a million dollar bribe like they did with Bill Ruger.

I contacted the nice wanna-be warriors at Tactical Knives after noticing a full-page Slick and Weasel advert in the latest issue.

They replied to my email in a few days, explained that the ad was accepted pre-sellout, and said that there would be no more.

If it is in the next issue, I'll follow through my threat and cancel my subscription.

They put a (probably the same) article in American Guardian, too. (I can't believe how fast I started getting my NRA membership stuff, they must have solved their phone congestion somehow.)

Hey guys, which eight guns did you put in the "chose your sweepstakes" area of the raffle?
I would like the two 1911 45's, the Thompson, and the Sako 270. I'd probably have to sell the others to pay the taxes if I won...
