NRA convention

Did anyone else catch the NRA convention on C span this morning.

Some great speeches by LaPierre, and Heston.

I caught it this afternoon. It will be replayed at 2AM Eastern Sunday morning on C-SPAN.

I throughly enjoyed all the speakers. While the politics of Moses and LaPeirre may not be quite pure (libertarian) enough for me, I think that they are making great strides forward. Mr Heston is an awe inspiring speaker and wonderful figurehead. His speech writing abilities are truly amazing.

With all the speakers, much more so than the last few years, the tone was more firm and defiant. "This is MY gun. Leave it ALONE!"

It was very refreshing.
