J Jim Watson New member Dec 5, 2004 #2 No. In NRA terminology, "smallbore" is .22 LR, period. I guess you could shoot .22 Shorts if you wanted to, but .22 Magnum and the .17 rimfires are not allowed. No centerfire of any calibre need apply.
