Well, here's the news.
I call them. It's not toll-free from here. But I call because I am curious, and I inquire about their HR-1703 position, looking to make an angry editiorial for the gun rag I sometimes work for [CCM] about their response. And they tell me:
"The NRA position? Well, we're looking into this bill, we are not [supporting it at the moment, but we're researcihng the possibility."
This is different again from the responses they were giving just recently.
Is it the mailing campaign or something different?
Regardless, mail, write and call them. Don't get off their back now!
The NRA ILA Grassroots Hotline is 800-392-8683, and it's toll-free for those within the US.
Press 4 so that you talk to a living person and complain about HR-1703.
Call early, call often. They must be pressured into supporting it if it's ever to get out of committee much
less to pass.
