NRA 50/50 Alox

Years ago, NRA Formula 50/50 Alox was the most popular bullet lube. Then years later, I began to notice that advertising statement appear like, "Alox Free". From that, I drew the inference that there was something inherent to Alox that was harmful but, I never heard what it may have been. Therefore, my question is: Was there something in Alox that was known to cause harm to users?

Alox in NRA 50/50

Water may get trapped under alox or from any coating, even plastic wads. The old NRA 50/50 now has a different Alox in it. The company no longer makes the older Alox. See the MSDS here. http://www.lsstuff.com/lube/msds.html But you wont learn a whole lot from it.
