My 1858 Remington New Army arrived yesterday to join the Colt 1860 Army which came earlier in the week. Both guns are manufactured by Pietta; and were ordered from Cabela's.
Haven't had a chance to fire either one, yet; but I am impressed with the fit, finish, and actions of both. The markings of the case hardening are more evident on the Remington than the Colt; while the bluing is very similar on each gun. The checkered grips of the Remington feel good in the hand.
No, I don't have a favorite, yet. That will have to wait until I make a trip to the range.
