Now THAT'S a GUN!

You could just mount that monster on a .50 Browning tripod and have at it - no way am I putting that thing to MY shoulder!

I'm not sure if that's a fake or not... I know I wouldn't shoot it at that weight, and I weigh in at 350 or so... John Ross is a fan of the big bores, and if I recall correctly, his doubles of that size tend to weigh in at 15 pounds or so...

OMG! Thats amazing!

OTOH if you ever needed a new door through the side of a Cruiser (Naval type, not Chryslers PT), this may do the trick.

BTW is it sold with a referral to a good orthopedic surgeon to reconstruct your shoulder after firing????

They *are* real. I handled one at Craig's Firearms in Knoxville, TN, and the counter guy showed me the 4ga shells that go with it. Hey, I'd shoot it once, just for the fun of it. I have a good health plan. :)

I have shot an 8ga indstrial. They're used to knock slag deposits out of boilers. It's a stainless steel 75 lb single shot monster that has to hang from a chain. Not a whole lot of recoil, the mere weight takes care of that. They're made by Winchester but you can't buy one, they're only for lease. When the company I work for first got theirs the lease was $1000/year. When it went up to $2700/year they sent it back. It was kinda fun to shoot at first, but after a couple hundred rounds in one session it started to seem like work.

If you draped a couple of cinder blocks from the shotgun with straps it would be heavy enough to fire from the shoulder. Maybe with birdshot, this is the ideal gun for African Ostrich.
