Let's assume for the sake of argument its now President Dubya.

In January he becomes the Chief Executive of a federal apparatus that has been controlled by Clinton for the last 7+ years. During that time Clinton has managed to corrupt the department of Justice, politicize the FBI, turn the Department of Energy into the department of R&D for the Communist Chinese, he has.... just forget reciting the history. Clinton has compromised the entire US federal government for his personal/political purpose. He did so by putting his people in places of power and influence then having those managers hire others of like mind.

My question: Is President Dubya prepared politically, personally, emotionally and ethically to conduct the purge necessary to restore some sense of legality, morality, ethics to the federal apparatus?

I believe in November we as a nation will see a national shower take place to remove dirt. Is a President Dubya prepared to administer a dose of XLAX?
 
Good points.

The machine was corrupt and left-leaning before Clinton, but to a lesser degree.

W. Bush will have the aide of his father, who has many strings to pull and many allies in certain orgs.
If W. wishes, he can purge the machine.
 
I believe that one of Bush's one-liners on the talk show circuit might shed some light. It was a comment made in jest, but I think he meant it. When asked what the first thing he would do after he got elected would be, he answered, "Give the Oval Office a good scrubbing". We can hope he carries on from there.

If G.W. Bush is elected our next president I will more than double my efforts; I will write him personally, and often. If I am not on a list by now I soon will be, after he takes the oval office carpets out to be burned. My VOICE will be heard. I will speak with the tongs of Millions of Americans that have had enough. I will start the fires and they will have to run every which way to put them out.

The time to run with the winners is near; we can bring an end to the Brady Bill and get our Full Cap Magazines back. We can end the Ban on certain riffles in California. We can take back all the ground lost and gain even more. Turn a few states from conceal carry to Vermont carry. We have the proof that it works, let’s get busy selling it to America. Every weekend there will be gun shows.

Give now and give later to every gun rights organization, Become a Life Member of the NRA so we can take it back as well. I am ready are you?

We must not become complacent, if we do these four years of opportunity will pass us by and we will have to choose the lesser of two evils again.
 
I hope he fires ALL U.S. atty's just like Clinton did just to get rid of Clinton's folks. Then, just to piss off Clinton, but his dad in charge of reviewing and reversing all of Clinton's Executive Orders !!!

I think Cheney would greatly enjoy purging Clinton from our gov't !! Include Bill Bennett as well.
