Now I'm Really Mad.

Sorry if this isn't the appropriate forum for this, but I think things like this need to be the number one reason we continue to fight for RKBA.

Body of woman found near north Columbus path

A passer-by discovered the body of a young woman lying in a pool of blood in the parking lot of ARC Industries just north of the Ohio State University campus area, just off a biking and jogging path. Medics arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene Thursday afternoon. Apparently her throat had been slashed. Columbus police homicide detectives are investigating.

:(

This happened just a shade over 1/4 a mile from my backyard, on a bike trail which I run/bike regularly. It's built over an old railroad track and is fairly secluded. The area in question is near a section of land owned by the University for wetlands research and would be the perfect place to commit such a crime without worrying about witnesses.

This story is newly developing as of last night, and they still don't know her name, yet I wouldn't be surprised if she was an OSU student.

Now, before I go on a tirade, I know that even if she was armed, knew ju-jitsu, had mace, etc that she could very well be in the same situation, but maybe not. Obviously, a young woman who -- is deluded into thinking that even if the area around campus is unsafe a secluded bike path is OK because it's "pretty" -- has not been properly taught awareness/self-defense, etc.

We need to get the point out that self defense and owning/using weapons is NOT just for the bad guys, and it doesn't make you a bad person. ESPECIALLY women, who are sadly marked as "easy targets" by subhuman predators. Bug the living crap out of your wife, sister, daughter, girlfriend until it sinks in. Use this story as an example if you need to, because it CAN happen to anyone. Don't let people think that some silly feel-good law can be passed to make it all better. People need to get pissed off and ready to fight.

"Demons who enter your circle must be pushed out."

   BTW, Ohio has NO CCW.

Take someone out shooting TODAY. Teach someone how to fight TODAY. Tomorrow might be too late.

Fuming I remain,

A couple of weeks ago in Salt Lake two women were raped by the same guy, on the same night, in two differnet locations. One a few blocks away from my house. The suspect is still at large.
When I heard about this on the 10 o'clock news. It pissed me off. I found my self walking the streets that night. I wan't in a linch mob mentality or a Vigilante mode. But I felt like I had to do SOMETHING. Most young girls today have a real bad "It won't happen to me" complex, or they think "I can take care of my self". Well I'm sorry sister, one of these days you might run into somebody who can take care of themselves better. And his value system and hierarchy of needs may just run counter to yours.

Is it just me or are we seeing more and more of this sick, twisted stuff these days. We had the exact same thing happen about 8 months ago that happened in Tom's town (and we're a quiet little nothing town). They still have no clue who did it. Two weeks ago a woman visiting our city turned up missing... they found her in the river a few days ago. No suspects yet.

When you look at your own wife and kids, it kinda' makes you feel like the only way to protect them is to go out and shoot EVERYBODY!!

I can think of only one recommendation for people who do those kind of things ... catch them, de-nut them, stuff it down their throats and toss them in the weeds and let them bleed. For those who add children to their coups, all of the above but hang the remains in the public square.

You both are right - women had best wake up to the fact that there are predators out there.

The Handgun: In a real pinch, the Great Equalizer.

Up here in anchorage we've had 5 native women killed in a little over a year. they were all strangled and beaten and raped.
This last one, only about a month ago, they've got a suspect for. A 20 year old guy had bragged to his friends about killing and raping her, and even took them to see the body before the police had found it.
They went to the policce and agreed to wear a wire, and got some good info, strait from the bastards mouth before the police arrested him. They think he may have been the killer for all the murders. Too bad Alaska don't have a death penalty. Up here the most the sicko could get is 99 years. Well, for each killing. He'll probably get 5 consecutive terms.

On the plus side, women are waking up. I recall reading that women are the fastest growing demographic group of new gun owners. I'm not sure where I read that, anybody have the stats?

If we just ban guns, criminals won't be criminals anymore. They'll take up an honest profession.

I have that on good authority from Reichfuhrer/SS Reno and her boss Komrade King Klinton.

I believe every word they say. J.B.
