Novosibirsk 9mm ammo questions

This stuff is showing up at some pretty low prices.

Does it burn clean? I've used some Brown Bear in the past that left too much carbon debris.

It's bi-metal - anybody had any problems with Novosibirsk?

Thanks

Just sounds like another name for cheap Russian steel case crappy ammo. If you have a gun that is made to run on anything it probably will work, but won't be much different than any of the other brands it's sold under.

I haven't seen that particular brand name, but Cheap is right, it's all pretty much the same thing. I've found Russian steel-cased ammo to be reliable, relatively accurate, and readily edible by just about every 9mm I have. A bit dirty, but it is cheap. Generally more reliable than Federal aluminum case.

cool, it appears to the company that has made all those fantastic spam-cans of 54R soft steel cored over the years. The name is just the town it is manufactured at in Russia.

there has to be a minimum of steel cased, bi-metal jacketed ammunition question posted here in the last three years alone. I would refer to the information in those and it will stand true for ANY of the Russian steel cased, bi-metal jacketed ammunitions.

one thing about this particular brand of ammo, is it appears to have the old school copper washed jacket, which I would highly prefer over Wolf/Barnaul's lacquer or Tula's polymer coated cases.

I have no qualms with bi-metal jacket ammo, although it is less than ideal in some firearms, generally cyclic issues due to the difference in spring-back time over brass, and the extractor trying to pull a fully expanded steel case out of the chamber before the swell goes back to normal size. the extractor can just pull over it or in most cases just break the rim off the brittle case rim. I have only experienced this in rifles and have had very little issue with any of the Russian pistol ammo.
