The only reason this came to the fore, being that it was done by "noble savages," is that ABC and the forces of liberalism want to stamp out consumption of red meat! ;)
 
Last weekend found me in Truckee and the old Train Station, now a Visitor Center. Had to ask if they had a Donner Party Cookbook with recipes like: Serving your Mother-in-law, or Dining with Dad. It adds a whole new dimension to the response: Yes, I like children. Ohhhh....I'm bad.

4V50 Gary: Sometimes when my wife and I will be waiting for a table in a busy restaurant, I'll pass the time with what she calls my "Donner Party Routine", mimicing the hostess:

"Donner, party of 12"

then about 5 minutes later

"Donner, party of 11"

5 minutes after that

"Donner, party of 10"

so-on-and-so-forth ad naseum until were seated.

Wife really hates that - but, then again, even in the most busy of places we never had to wait past "Donner, party of 7". :D
