Seems like Bloomberg doesn't like it when the door swings both ways. I've been wanting to see someone do this for a LONG time.
New York City's lawyers have asked a federal judge in Georgia to reconsider a ruling that a gun shop in that state can proceed with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Mayor Michael Bloomberg and other city officials.

The city's motion says public officials' speech about public issues should be immune from lawsuits, said city lawyer Eric Proshansky.

The lawsuit arose from comments Bloomberg made in May 2006 after he sued gun dealers in several states, including Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna, Ga. He accused them of allowing the illegal purchase of guns that end up in criminal hands.

The owners of the Smyrna gun shop sued for $400 million. They accused the mayor and other city officials of negligence, defamation and interference with the gun store's business.
I hope they take it directly out of the pockets of the crooked puke himself.

It's a step in the right direction.

Too bad the feds wont grow a pair of balls and go after this clown. Instead, they harass mom and pop gun shops over trivial bullcrap mistakes on 4473's.

This did not get much press... However, NYC has a handfull of gun stores. King Bloomberg had his investigators go into a few of them and try to set them up. The businesses were shut down by the police and the guns were seized. A NYC judge had to order the police to give back the merchandise to the store owners and ordered the stores be allowed to reopen. You know someone is out of line when an NYC judge (probably a big time anti-gun liberal) makes a ruling like this.
Heres a link to what happened... Bloomy deserves long term reservations with club fed.
