Obviously with the slide locked in the back position, they ran out of ammo…. Moral of the story…. Keep lots and lots of ammo around.

OK, I am impressed. I do have to say, I always preferred the less catchy:

"You can have my gun when I grab a better one from a warm twitching hand of a JBT"

(Privately, I much prefer to avoid adventures altogether. Uncomfortable things, adventures are, make you late for dinner. Especially if we swap relatively well-behaved dragons for nasssty humansssses.)

Had to save this image as wallpaper, just as I do Oleg's. No doubt show it to some friends.

Its creator deserves a cookie - or a Shiner, if preferred.

I reread Hobbit last about two years ago. My nickname from the age of 10 to 14 or so (when I left Russia) was Gandalf, hence the allusions :)
