Acquired a well used model Stevens 238A. Reminds me of the good ole days when I had one. Stock excellent, maintenance not so good. Want to restore but need either bolt ejector part or bolt replacement. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Numrich had necessary ejector. Refinished stock, polished bore checked reciever, no cracks or visible damage. Assuming 2 3/4 inch loads. What would be a safe modern load for this old timer. Plan to use it on grouse etc.
It will take smokeless game loads easy. Somewhere on the barrel, it should give the chamber length, but if not, that gun is late enough to not have a short chamber.
