nosler accubond: opinions needed!

I'd use 150s. In the 308, you don't need premium bullets because they won't be hitting 3000fps. Even in 24", a 165 will top out at 2700 on the chrono.

They are a great bullet, go ahead and use them.

I'm using 100gr Nosler Accubond's in my 6.8spc, they are accurate and deadly.

That bullet at 25-3000 fps will be death in the air for nearly any north american game within reasonable distances.

I have only used a 200 gr 30 cal Accubond @2900 fps on a deer.DRT,but very modest meat damage.

Brother has been using Ballistic Tip 165 gr for deer/antelope out of a .308.Works real good.

Brother's boss's 14 yr old kid was using .308 for elk.We set him up with a 165 Accubond. He had one shot one quick kill/bullet under hide performance at near 300 yds.

I really like Noslers trio of 165 /168 gr bullets in the 308.The Custom Competition Match bullet, the 165 Ballistic Tip,and the 165 Accubond.

What I do,when I have a question like this:Call or E-mail a tech guy at Nosler. They know what the best application is.

Shoot good,and you'll be fine.

I've used .308 180 gr Nosler Accubond in .300 WM and .30-06. This bullet has very good accuracy capability. It also holds together well on a heavy skinned, big boned game like elk, which I've taken 4 with this bullet. None of the animals went more than 20 yards and as little at 1 step before dropping stone cold. I'd recommend the Accubond to anyone for accuracy and excellent results on big animals.

They are amongst the best your money can buy. Personally I find the cheaper stuff from Remington and Federal works just as well on feral hogs but there we are.

Yeah buddy,,, I shot a ten-pointer this year with a 130 gr Nosler Accubond, broadside at 85 yds, it was a "high-shoulder" heartshot. The bullet busted up the top part of the heart and shattered his lungs, and left an exit hole the size of a nickle... Nice quick clean kill,,, it's perfect for any animal, I think.
