North East Gun Shows

Has anyone ever been to one of the North East Gun Shows?

They're having one this weekend in Middletown NY.

I'm very new to firearms and I wouldnt be looking for anything in particular but was wondering if these shows are even worth me going to.

Thanks in advance fellas.

From my experience, most of them are a waste of time. That being said, I will be attending the Middletown show.
The man I consider to be one of the leading authorities on historical black powder firearms is going to have a table, and I need a few things. So, for that reason alone, I will be there.

I didnt see a list of vendors on the website, do you know if such thing exists?

WeI can get someone to tag along maybe I'll go.

I have not missed a middletown gun show in about 8 years. I will be there tomorow (saturday). With that being said, it is generally a complete waste of time. The vendors and their locations in the show have not changed in many years. I can tell you every vendor, where they are and what they have. 99.9% of the time there is nothing.

Again, with that being said, I have nothing better to do on a saturday, so I will be there in the morning.

If you really want to go to a good show, go to the King of Prussia show in PA. It is about 5 times the size of middletown and the selection is great. Price, onthe other hand is hit or miss. If nothing else its a great day. Plan to spend about 4 hours to get through the whole show.

Well I went and it was the best gun show that I've ever been to. It's also the only gun show that I've ever been to.
Also my first time at Gander Mountain. I guess I don't get out much.

It was a fun day with a buddy and really what more can we ask for.

if syracuse isnt too far, billy, you should go to that one

it is big and tons going on

it is this weekend.....17 and 18 september....at the state fair grounds
it is off the 690 ....exits marked

yourang?: I think Syracuse is about a 6 hour drive from where I live. That's a bit far just to look around.
But thanks for the heads up.

billy.....

take 17 to 81 north....probably not more than 3 hours and about 140 miles

not a bad drive and pretty too

just thought i'd let you know

(if it is the rockland that is the town and not the county, which
would be more, of course.....mebbe another hour or hour and a half?
