North American Union

North American Union?

Has anybody seen this? It appears to be part of an agreement between the US, Mexico, and Canada to create a North American Union. Today is the first I have heard of this agreement (signed in March of 2005) and what follows is an excerpt from the website linked at the bottom. I find it difficult to believe that our government, as has been suggested by certain media characters, has chosen to follow the socialist example of Europe in the formation of a borderless multinational union. What are your thoughts?
To make North America secure for the future, we need integrated, coordinated and seamless measures in place at, within, and beyond our borders to provide our people and our infrastructure with the highest possible common level of protection from terrorists and other criminal elements, as well as from the common threats of nature.

To make North America prosperous for the future, we need to improve the efficiency of the movement of people, goods and services crossing our borders. We must remove barriers to trade, investment, research and education. We must protect our environment and promote the health and safety of our people.

Increased economic integration and security cooperation will further a unique and strong North American relationship - a relationship that meets your stated goals while preserving our political and cultural identities.

We recognize that this Partnership is designed to be a dynamic, permanent process and that the attached workplans are but a first step. We know that after today, the real work begins. We will now need to transform the ideas into reality and the initiatives into prosperity and security.

As the great American Actor and great American, John Wayne, aka Morrison the football player said, "That'll be the Day"! Thats one of the reasons we have the GOD given right outlined in the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution! Jefferson and others have told us if somebody stretches our Republic beyond what it is and was, it is our duty to right that criminal wrong.....

I just wondered if anyone else had heard of it and if this seemed as ominus and foreboding to you as to me. It seems to me that this could easily represent the demise of national sovereignty much as the growth of the federal government to its current state has negatively impacted state soverignty.

Getting considerable play. Will get more as it gains air time in the alternative media. I picked up on the subject with the first meeting of the three amigos. Been watching it ever since.

What I find so interesting is once you see something going on. you can then begin to explain some of the utter idiocy the president and congress have engaged on over the last few years. Bush doing nothing over illegal immigration in spite of a war makes sense once you assume there are no borders. Social security totalization with Mexico makes sense once you create one labor pool. Dubai Ports fiasco makes sense once you gain some idea why US companies aren't interest in running our own ports. The senate's amnesty bill makes all kinds of sense once you assume one labor pool. Trans texas transportation corridor makes sense once you realize the need to bypass US labor problems.

I think we now have the keystone in explaining a number of seemingly illogical and irrational public policy initiatives of the ruling class. Evidently a union has been an accepted fact amongst the ruling class for some time now. Only Joe and Martha Sixpack have been left out of the discussion. We're still early in the debate but the plans still move forward. I look at immigration debate now and see it is pretty much dead for this term. That is precisely why I expect some grand compromise struck using the Pence bill. That bill, if you look at it, is worse than the senate's bill. The fact that it originated from the right side of the chamber is what is being used to sell it to the great fed up. Look to see if the fix is in. If we get amnesty in any form you can bet serious stuff is headed our way.

Pretty much sums it up. Of course if you try and say that most places(including possibly here) you'll be labeled a tin hat wearing nut...

As I've said on other fora

Just kidding.

I don't know what to make of this Union thing. I imagine they'll want us all to pay union dues. :(

Responding to a WorldNetDaily report, Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., is demanding the Bush administration fully disclose the activities of an office implementing a trilateral agreement with Mexico and Canada that apparently could lead to a North American union, despite having no authorization from Congress.

As WND reported, the White House has established working groups, under the North American Free Trade Agreement office in the Department of Commerce, to implement the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP, signed by President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, March 23, 2005.

The groups, however, have no authorization from Congress and have not disclosed the results of their work despite two years of massive effort within the executive branches of the U.S., Mexico and Canada...

I don't find it difficult to believe - not at all.

Of course this new union will need a Constitution. Will Mexico and Canada, both with arbitrary and onerous antigun laws in place, adopt the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights - the Second Amendment in particular?

Why of course not - the Bill of Rights, especially the Second Amendment, will have to go. The silliness about the President of the United States being a citizen born in the U.S. will have to go, too.

How long before the state of the union address is delivered in Spanish?:barf:

We've been watching our government torn down by this Administration. Everytime this subject is broached, Republicans cry "conspiracy theory."

The whole point of getting bush into office was to make one world order. Think I'm kidding? Check out who the head of the World Bank is.

Check out the people in the Trilateral Commission.

Check out the Carlyle Group and ask yourself, if Daddy Bush is invested in a corporation that makes money letting people know when there will be a war, and his son declared war, is this a conflict of interest?

People have been duped into the emotional distraction issues from the political religion evangelical movement.

Thanks for selling us out. This destruction of a constitutional government is brought to you Republicans....;)

I don't think that this is strictly a Republican thing . I think the Demo's would also welcome such a deal . The real big fight is between them . If this deal goes through there will be no need for elections . It will have been proven that our leaders are light years ahead of us mentally sooo why bother to let us have a voice in anything ? Therefore they will just stay in power in order to maintain stability and "prosperity" for many years to come . It's a game of musical chairs . The last one with a chair WINS!! The party in power when it happens will be in power for a very long time . Look at Mexico . 70 years with one party . Invest in ammo .

"The real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over the city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self created screen. At the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both political parties." John F. Hylan
