I'm thinking of getting either a black widow, mini-master, or the new .17 cal. anyone have one? how do you like it?

Not in that caliber

but in .22WSM with the optional .22LR cylinder. It is a fun little shooter, very (and I mean VERY) loud with the WSM ammo. Out to 25 feet I have no problem putting all rounds in a standard silhouette target; and that is out of the 1 1/8" barrel

The are quality little revolvers- and fun toys.

Got a Black Widow here as a loaner, shoots quite accurately with the .17 Mag. No real recoil.
I have an older Black Widow in .22 Mag, still accurate, and I'd personally stay with the .22 Mag myself, but others like the .17s & NAA says they're selling well.

I know, the cylinders have safe notches but, does anybody else think the Kydex neck holster is a DUMB idea? Think about it. You would be walking around with a barrel under your chin, pointed at your head. I do like the belt buckle carrier.

444, you are excused. What are you? Truckie? We firefighters aren't the brightest. Smoke, flames, hazardous materials and collapses are job security for us. LOL I have a friend who carries his around his neck. I try to stay off to one side to avoid being swept.

Most of us are familiar with the rules of firearms safety, and most of us know that rule #2 is: Never Let The Muzzle Cover Anything You Do Not Wish To Destroy. But, let's get our minds out of lock step and think about this for a moment. When we are carrying inside the waist band, do we with to destroy our rear end ? How about that chair we are sitting in ? Car seats ? ....................
Let's say we have our gun in a shoulder rig. Does that muzzle ever cover anything we don't wish to destroy ? Most of the shooting games don't allow the use of shoulder holsters for a reason, and that reason is that the muzzle of a loaded gun is covering everything behind it.
I could go on, but suffice it to say that we often cover things with our muzzle that we don't intend to destroy. I have a safe full of guns pointing right at the safe wall, which I don't want to destroy.
So, we have to make a judgement call on whether we are covering something we don't want to destroy in the safest possible manner. In the case of the neck holster I have, I decided that the chance of a ND are basically non-existent. Obviously, this is a decision that only you can make for yourself.

I have two mini revolvers, love 'em! Have three of the belt buckles. I don't have a neck holster but the guns are so safe I wouldn't worry about one. The gun has to be on safety to go in so I doubt the cylinder would rotate off safe while in one.

I carry my carry guns in a pocket holster most of the time and when I'm sitting in a movie theater or restaurant my gun is aimed at just about everybody sitting in front of me as I move around in my seat.

Wonder how many people set around with an old Raven .25 Semi Auto in their pocket with a round in the chamber and only that dinky little safety keeping it from firing. That's the same as Cocked and Locked except the safty is on a $50 gun.

I have to agree with Sir William, Firefighters generally do tend to be a little LOCO. Not sure I would carry on a neck lanyard, but I do know plenty of NY State Toopers who carry P3AT's that way ... to each his own

turns out the naa minis are not on the approved list for los angeles county. I went with a beretta 950BS(25acp) instead.
