Anyone ever shoot norma's boolits? How are they? Are they worth the money? Specifically looking at the 180gr vulkan propelled by imr 4350 in a 24inch barreled savage 116 .30-06 as my do it all load (hunting fields thickets marshes longrange close range big woods etc.) i hunt in a variety of areas.

Thanks for the response .Well a comparable bullet such as a grand slam is somewhat cheap but doesnt have the bc to keep up long range. The vulkan seems more aerodynamic and has that semi hollow protected point. Then theres swift a frames which are more expensive but have a great reputation, but so does norma. I think once i get rid of my old stock ill spring for a box of 100 and some Norma URP powderl, from what ive read its real close to 4350. Maybe i can replicate some of factory loads for a fraction of their price. I forgot to mention that i can get shots from 5 to 700+ yards.

I've used the 180 gr Oryx and the 180 gr Vulkan in .30-06.
Very pleased with the results. However, I must admit that I've only ever used them on Antelope. Other things happened to be in my hands for other species.

They flew straight, were not finicky in load development, and did exactly what I wanted them to. The only "complaint" some might argue is that I never recovered one. All hits were complete pass-throughs, showing signs of excellent expansion without excessive fragmentation.
