Does anyone know if Norinco is still producing and importing shotguns? specifically the model 97T "trench" gun. I've been waiting months for any distributor to get them in stock but all anyone seems to have are the 97W's. even three of my local gun shops can't seem to find them. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Contact Interstate Arms (www.iacshotguns.com). They're the importer. Norinco will probably be in business until the end of the world, but chances are that they do like many other companies and produce "runs" of guns. The 97T is pretty popular, so it just may be between runs.

Hope not...

We certainly don't need to increase our already huge trade deficit with our lovely Asian friends now, do we...

Slugo, some of us don't care where our guns come from as long as we get what we want. I wish they'd lift the Norinco ban and start letting Norinco 1911's come back in.

Sleep well...

I do. Buying Chinese copies of guns I like because the originals cost too much and American companies wont make and if they did they'd be lawyered up and cost three times as much on top of it doesn't bother my sleep at all.

I can't wait until the US...

imposes a 400% tariff on Chinese imports!! It's coming, bet on it. The shoe will then be on another foot! LOL... ;)

Maybe they will but I doubt it. If they do the Italians will probably start making them. I don't care who makes them. I have Chinese guns, Italian guns even original American guns.
