Norinco sights

I need help in upgrading the sights on my NIB [lucked out at a funshow] Norinco. The weapon is fine but the front sight goes invisible under certain lighting conditions.

Kings

I saw where Kings in L.A. has sights that fit the original dove tail on a 1911A1 and the front sight slot. My personal choice would be Novak sights. Why? I find them very easy to pick up. Regards, Richard

PS If this link works this is my #2 Norinco 1911A1 with Novak sights.

PSS I tried it and it works but you have to enter the album to see my Norinco. rlo

You might also try a dab of nail polish - I use some of those day-glo colors they have. Liquid paper or paint will work too. I chose nail polish on the theory that the the enamal would last longer.

Thanks for the photos and suggestions. After thinking more on the subject, i would like to avoid adjustable sights. The highligting sounds great. Has anyone seen the sights that has just two white dots, one on the rear sight and one on the front? When you are on target the make the figure "8".

The figure 8 sights are made by Heine.

I picked up a set of Meprolite night sights w/the staked front on clearance for $36.00, they are NIB, probably 4-5 years old. Still are very bright.

Now I've got to get them installed. Tried removing the rear, and it's to hard. Going to have a smith do it for $30-40.

If I hadn't found this deal, I would have had a front dovetail cut for $35 and went w/Heine 8 non-tritium.

Good Luck,
Steve
