No Thanksgiving Holiday in 2001

While working out at the gym yesterday a intelligent and politically sophisticated woman who always kows what is going on in Washington said: "Hard Ball, do you know that Congress is about to pass a law that will cancel the observing of Halloween and cancelling the Thanksgiving Holiday in Washington DC during 2001?"

I hadan't. "Why in the hell are they doing that?" I asked.

"Because in 2001, no matter how the elections go. the Witch will be leaving town and she will take the Turkey with her!"
