No S&W .357 heavy frames in blue?

Am I reading S&W's site correctly? I can't find many revolvers in blue and none in a heavy frame .357.

What gives and what are the alternatives for new guns other than the Python?

The 586 is actually still in production but it isn't on the website. Larger dealers will have them or can get them.

Other than that, you need to buy the old ones! That's what I do anyway since I refuse to play the game and buy a gun with a hole in the sideplate. Lots of 27's and 28's out there. Not to mention the classic 19. I just bought a "new" 19-3 recently and the quality and blue job is simply outstanding.

S&W has dropped all of their good ones. I would consider a 625 in 45 ACP and 3.5" barrel. S&W doesn't make it. I noticed M27/M28 prices climbing and checked it out. S&W has made a major error. Taurus and Ruger should benefit. Ruger pulled the 357 Magnum Redhawk. Taurus is left. I don't care for porting but, the Tracker and used S&Ws from $400.00 and up are all we are looking at for choices. I have started seeking out Colt Lawman and Trooper MKIIIs in 357 Magnum. Sleepers.

Thanks guys.

Just found a 586 in 4" and I'm on my way to the dealer (80m roundtrip) first thing tomorrow.

The 625 would be fine were it not for the "6" part of it. Call me romantic in blue.
