No more FN-FAL kits or receivers. Thanks UN!

I think you're missing the point George. The UN is now propogating policy (go here: http://www.uncjin.org/Documents/Conventions/conventions.html ) in regards to "arms control" that is directly affecting your ability to purchase firearms.

If you're not concerned because we can still buy American (at about 2x the price) then you need to consider that the UN has no qualms about telling us what should and shouldn't go on inside our own borders. How long before that becomes policy? Five years? Ten?

The UN is out of control. They should never have gotten the power they have.

Imagine the Red Cross with guns. This is how absurd the UN is.

The Bill of Rights is a document of brilliance, a document of wisdom, and it is the ultimate law, spoken or not, for the very concept of a society that holds liberty above the desire for ever greater power. -Me

The UN wants to eliminate all civillian possesion of what they call "small arms" with the possible exception of single or double barreled shotguns for hunting,

Ahhh folks,

The UN has some reason for their stance. I mean take a look at the wide spread availability of full auto machine guns in Africa and other places torn by civil war. The availability of these types of weapons in places with no governmental stability and many, many old hates leads to a lot of killings, now they can still murder each other with rocks too, but full auto assalt type rifles are such force multipliers that a gang of punks can kill off a whole village damn quick. It is a problem in some areas of the world and a big problem. Besides the UN has no power so if you want to see a conspiracy at least look for a real one. The UN can't even pay their bills.

Machine guns are hardly the problem. In Rwanda the big problem was gangs of thugs running around the countryside killing people with machetes. Guns were not the issue there.

Shiroikuma,

None of those rifles in the African civil wars were acquired by over-the-counter retail sales to civilians. They are government-issue, used by government forces of factions thereof, in order to combat opposing forces or unlucky civilians from another tribe.

Government causes the problem, then tells the sheep that additional disarmament of the populace is the solution, leaving said populace even more vulnerable to attack. That is the pattern that we have been seeing.

If the UN & US really cared about firearms violence in Africa, they should let us buy up all the rifles and import 'em over here. :)

They even killed with machetes if there were no guns available. My
mama is doctor and has a colleague who works in Medecins sans
frontieres" and that colleague treated rather few gunshot wounds, but
lots of machete and club injuries. So go figure.

If they want to kill each other, let them do. This - as cynic as I may
sound - slow down the overpopulation in Africa. AIDS will do the rest.

If we had a non-draft dodging President in office who would tell the UN, BATF and all the other jack-booted thugs to f*ck off, we wouldn't be in this situation!!!!
