Does anyone have contact with Colt, Bushmaster, and/or Olympic?

I have heard that the for fear (pressure from ATF) of losing government military contracts they will no longer be selling to the public.

I'm looking for a second source to varify this.

What are you referring to? None of these companies currently hold a gov't contract (that I know of). Are you trying to say that they will be excluded from future bidding if the sell to civilians?
 
I've been meaning to go over to Olympic and check out their facility and I'll ask them. I see alot of brand spanking new ones around here locally for sale
 
Colt lists ARs in their latest catalog. Right now they have the current contract for the M4 carbine.

Bushmaster made a small lot of M4s for the governement several years ago.

As far as I know, Olympic, and Armalite have only produced a few rifles, purchase by individual units fo the military.

The last big M16 contract went to FN and they don't produce civilan rifles.

Bushmaster is still selling to the public. Go over to AR15.com and someone their can probably give you more information.
