no instructions to get trigger lock off

I bought a remington 700 cdl 7mm REM mag today and when I got him I noticed it had a red trigger lock on it. No key hole or anything and its just made out of plastic. Does anyone know how to get these off? (Got it at bass pro shops)

Just shoot it off with one of your other guns!

Ok here is what you have to do to get it off. Pack it up and ship it directly to me and when I get done I'll send it back...LOL:D

"see if it's something they should have removed before letting it go out the door"

That is exactly what it is. I hope they give you something for having to drive back.

Here's a picture of a common type of trigger lock that sellers usually put on guns. Look in the bag with the owners manual and other stuff and see if there is a little disc with two prongs on it. Use it to unscrew the center part of the trigger lock. If the disc thing isn't there, you can use a pair of tweezers or needle nosed pliers to unscrew it.

CYA

Yeah- CYA- When I bought my NM M1A the clerk was all freaky because mine "didn't come with one" (a trigger lock) so he put one of those cheesy things exactly like that one in the hard case with the gun. When I got home and lifted the foam there was all the Springfield Armory paperwork and the SA cable lock.

If it isn't in the box, call the store where you brought if from and let them know you are bringing it in to have the trigger lock removed.

They should have told you about the lock and shown you the unlocking device as well. I bought a winchester shotgun from bpro a few months ago and they gave me the run down on the lock before I feft the counter poor salesman

I was able to get the lock off and then found the key/tool deal in my truck. They ripped the end of the box off opening it I guess. I prefer Cabelas for buying guns but thats just my opinion
