Pretty cool stat.
Not that I think legal concealed carry is totally responsible, but it's absolute proof that legal CCW hasn't increased homicides. It's just empowered people to defend themselves.
Of course, the latter is why some people have a problem with it in the first place ...
"It's extremely difficult to say why there haven't been any homicides," said Joseph Sandoval, who teaches at the Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Sandoval said he wonders if perhaps there's been an increase in the number of people arrested for carrying concealed weapons without a permit. Or maybe, he said, there has been an increase in the number of people who have a permit to carry a concealed weapon and that has thwarted homicides.
