I received this e-mail today via the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia "alert" system.
We are trying to get it confirmed or denied, rather than simply rely on the assertions made here.
Does anyone there in the US have any info they could add, please?
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Trying to book my flights to Scotland for my December shoot. I have
usually flown Continental, who have a convenient flight to Glasgow.
I have been informed by a friend and have verified that Continental will no longer accept firearms in checked baggage to the UK. It does not say this on their web site and they don't volunteer the information unless you ask. The front-line agent didn't even know and had to check with a supervisor. Could have been VERY sticky checking in to discover that I would have had to leave my guns behind at Newark. Fair warning to other travellers.[/quote]
Thanks in advance.
