Saw reference to the following press release on another site. Spoke with a lady at Century Arms, who said that that was what she had been told, "by her boss". Press release follows:

Press Release

From : Century International Arms
Date : August 18, 2000
Phone: 1-800-527-1252

On the day Al Gore accepted the democratic nomination for President, a legal committee at B.A.T.F. effectively banned an entire class of previously importable firearms.

The following Century semi-auto rifles are affected and will no longer be available once inventory is depleted: SAR-1, SAR-2, SAR-3, MISR, STG-58, Centurion 58, FAL, Cetme and G3.

In addition to the above, Garand rifles and parts for Garand rifles are no longer importable. Once we are out of our inventory they will no longer be available in the United States.

This is not an attempt at controlling crime in the U.S.

It is a policy designed to stop the flow of small arms in the third world. It is UN inspired. Clinton signed on more than a year ago.

Can you say "Globalist feel-good nonsense?"

I guess I know what small arms I'm purchasing next.

So if these small arms are not being imported here, where are they going. I can tell you right now, where ever people will pay the price. I would guess they will end up exactly where they are trying to keep them out of third world countries.

If the 2nd is antiquated, what will happen to the rest.
"the right to keep and bear arms."

Some info on registering to vote, print a copy and take it with you. Everyone should be asking are you going to vote?

Genmtlemen:

Re comments to my post, some are quite interesting, and likely correct as to intentions.

Iam curious as to the following however. Re the press release, which is verifiable, has anyone copied and pasted it to their "elected things", with appropriate comments or questions? I did.
