It was said to me by a friend, that when you need a permit for a weapon that is covered under your second amendment rights then it's no longer a right but a Privilege. And I think that is exactly how at least in New Jersey and obviously other states I think for most California and Massachusetts from all the things I read when it comes to where you can and where you can't ship weapons and ammo too, that our Second Amendment rights are being dwindled down to a fraction of what they were meant to be, People popping a 21st-century spin on something just to fit their own personal needs and their agendas.
Yes I've contacted along with local groups and organizations assemblyman congressman and other members that directly deal with these gun law issues in New Jersey, many on our site although this is known to be an extremely liberal State, the County of Ocean where I live has an extremely strong conservative hold because mainly of the senior population and thus so is an oxymoron in politics we are greatly looked upon even from the federal level because of our stance so different from the rest of the states thinking.
Concerning the grandfathering of the Magazines I guess that basically becomes an honor system? Seems in this socialist government that we are currently living under that the honor system is something that I'm feared is look at much too closely by the powers that be, whose to say who will come knocking on who's door and to count rounds in a gun just to see if we are playing fare.
Please forgive me for any obvious errors in grammar, I dictate this into the iPhone it's just much simpler to do that then to try to type on the small keyboard it's easier for me to get my ideas out and hopefully provoke some of your own to continue the topic I find it fascinating.
Obviously much of the country is scared over the possibility of some mass gun control changes something that a restrictive amendment would totally change the face of how weapons in this country are used for personal safety for shooting for practice for hunting for any purpose that free citizens of the United States seen fit to use. Being born in New Jersey You were pretty well taught that only the police and the bad guys have guns and everyone else's at their mercy, you learn later in life and when an incident does happen the only thing the police can do is come and take a police report and call a corner.
Of fact about New Jersey many people don't know is we are the mostly Populated state per square mile with 7109 people imagine that where you live and imagine carry laws open or concealed what kind of nightmare could occur I sort of think that that is a sensible law in the scheme of things, but for home protection for sporting purposes to take and try to cut the rights of the people in the state bypassing any Federal rights then whether using places like Sandy Hook or anywhere else is an example to further your agenda is criminal in my belief.
Please forgive me if I do get long-winded, I operate the second-largest beekeeping forum on the Internet and with 6000 members and 400,000 posts and hundred and 120 countries of people that are posting daily it's an interesting breed that we get there and throughout the US is an amazing amount of Of ideas on the Second Amendment the right to carry and the right to possess, practically anything. I've been in Mississippi and shot many firearms, none scarier to me than the Glock 40 I may add LOL. But there I learned responsible gun handling.
The last thing I'll say about New Jersey is one of the changes they wish to make is to put on your drivers license that you are a firearms owner and also is that of a lifetime firearms license it will be a five-year renewable license that I'm sure there will be a hefty fee for and probably a long wait that which leaves you in limbo, I don't understand What are our state has against constitutional right's but surely enough it doesn't seem to be getting any better and I think that may be said for almost anywhere today. Thank you so much for your comments
