NJ 15 rounds

Hello I'm new to shooting and looking to buy my first handgun. Some resurch later and I want to go with a Glock17.
My choice may have to change after learning about New Jersey's 15 round mag max. Since I have farely large hands and don't plan on CC, I wanted a full size gun.
My question is if anyone knows how to get around this? I can't seem to find 15 round mags for the 17.
Or am I gonna just have to settle for a Glock19?

Depending on what FFL you use, they may permanently block the 17 rounders to comply with the law. My father bought a Glock 17 from Brick Armory, and they did that. Ten rounders are another option. If you want to be at the limit, either the 19 or even the 22 (just in .40).

Don't know why nobody ever put out a 15 rounder for the 17. A handful of manufacturers do it... Beretta (92 and the PX4) and S&W (M&P) do. There is a market for it, being it is nice to be able to clean magazines (my biggest problem with my blocked PMAGs).

Where in NJ are you from? You can easily order the magazines and have them shipped to an FFL near you to have them converted to legal capacities. I have ordered guns and magazines and had them legally converted countless times because of NJ's dispicable gun laws.

I'm in Upper Township, Cape May county.
I'll defiantly look into haveing the mags converted. Like I was saying I'm really new to this and didn't know a mag could be converted. I don't really like the idea of never being able to clean something (feels unreliable).
Thanks for the replies.
And yes ,I've lived here my whole life (40) and the more I look into NJ's gun laws I realize they are as screwed up as the rest of our laws.
