Nikon P-223

I'm guessing you are referring to the M223.

If so... I've had an opportunity to compare a couple of scopes recently.

- really like the 1 - 4 x 24 platform
- I'm confident the M223 would serve me well for many years
- if I hadn't done a side by side comparison, I'd be a-o-k with the M223
- however, once I did, I looked thru the Leupold Mark AR 1.5 - 4 x 24, I then 'saw the light'... the Leupold just gathers light better and the view is 'bigger'

The Nikon does nothing wrong, I'd be happy to own and operate one. The Leup just does it better. Same price range.

Actually Nikon came out with P-223 at the Shot show the P referring to the Prostaff level I believe. Looking to buy one as well, doesn't seem like they have hit stores yet.

The P-223 is a lower cost version of the M-223, and as already stated is based on the ProStaff platform. I have two of their M-223 3-12x42SF scopes.

Big Nikon Promotion on M-223 and P-223 Scopes Starts 3/15

The new for 2012 P-223 Scope which we showed off at shot Show this year looks like it is going to be a big success. Built on the new PROSTAFF Platform and designed with a BDC 600 Reticle for the .223. It will come in under $200 and has just recently hit stores. Also new is the P-223 3X Carbine Scope.

One thing I want to let you guys know about is the Mount 'Em Up Promotion we did last year, we are doing it again this year. Buy a M-223 or P-223 Scope from an Authorized Nikon Dealer and get a FREE M or P-Series AR Mount. This went over so well last year we literally ran out of mounts!

I hope this information helps guys, drop me a note if you have any questions.

How do we determine if a dealer is "authorized"? As a matter of fact, I ordered a 3-12x42SF BDC600 from GunGear, and two weeks ago, and they said they were out of stock (and as far as I know they still are out of stock, because I have not as yet received a notice that it's been shipped). How can we expedite them getting more in stock so I can take delivery of my new scope?

I really really want the new 3x 32 P-223 Carbine reticle scope for my 14.5"/3" brake'd carbine .... Can it really be had for $149.99 WITH a free AR Mount ?? That's so gravy if true.

Nikon M-223 and now the P-223 Series Promotion

Tak, That is true. A great deal for sure. Let us know what you think of the
P-223 3X Carbine. I may have to break down and get one as well. Of course I'd have to get a new AR too.....hmmm...
Thanks!

GREAT looking scope! Nice glass! Can't wait to take her to the range!

I think that there ain't no 1-4 brother. Please chime in bman but we were referring To Nikon's brand new series of AR Scopes called the " P223" p as in ProStaff. There is a 3-9 scope with something like a 600 yd BDC reticle capability and the awesome looking " carbine scope " a fixed 3x 32mm open end scope wth a new designed reticle for tactical carbine action also having some sort of BDC dots in the reticle for taking longer distance shots with some accuracy with your ( hopefully mine !!!) carbine AR!

At $150 its suc a steal , with the mount it's just the best optics deal since the $299 Aimpoint Micro R-1 closeout ( which I fit got two of them ). I just need the cash for this. Anyone want to buy a brand new never used Jagermeister tap machine ? Used to be impossible to find, now u can get them for $300. I have two from my booze mgr days , I want one of these so bad , if u buy me the $150 scope I'll trade you the $300 Jäger machine. Lol. Pm me :)

Ps I Have two Nikon ProStaff 4-12x40mm scopes I bought based on TFL write-ups - I LOVE THEM. One nikoplex reticle one BDC. Amazing scopes for the money o can only imagine this ome.

scope

Yes, The M-223 1-4 Point Blank Reticle. Awesome scope, zero at 100 yards and you are still in the kill zone at 200. One of my favorite scopes as the Point Blank Reticle gives you very fast target acquisition to make the most of your lead!

The M-223 Series is included in the Promotion going on right now as well as the P-223 and P-22 Scopes.

Here's a pic of my M-223 1-4.

The new P series scopes are different from the M series. Even the mount is different. The M223 mount has 20moa built into it and the P mount is a 0 moa.

Nikon AR Mount

Mad, There are now 3 Nikon AR Mounts for 2012.
M-223 XR- 1 piece and has 20 MOA built into it.
M-223 -is a flat 1 piece mount
P-Series AR Mount -is a 2 piece Mount

These are all included in the Mount 'Em Up Promotion going on at Authorized NIkon Dealer's. Buy a M-223,P-223 or P-22 Scope and get a free mount.

I hope this information helps you out.
When the new 2012 M-308 Scope's arrive, they will include a M-308 Mount which has 20 MOA as well.

Thanks for that info. A new .308 scope, that sounds interesting. Well there be a 1-4X style in that line? I have a .308 AR carbine that needs optics.

Nikon M-308 Scope

The M-308 will only come in 4-16 bDC 800 or Rapid Action Turret to 800 yards in the beginning.

You might check out the P-223 3x Carbine scope or the M-223 1-4 Point Blank Reticle Scope for your .308 Carbine. Both would work great inside of 200 yards for you and you could use Spot On to dial in the 3x for longer shot's if wanted?
