Nikon Monarch 3 1x-4x

I am looking at buying a Nikon Monarch 3 1x-4x with the German reticle. I missed a good buck this year because I couldn't find him fast enough in my 3x-9x. Only about 30 yds.Never got the shot off. Has any used this scope or any thoughts.

I have that scope mounted to an ar15. Very nice scope for the money I would put it somewhere between a vx2 and vx3 but closer to the vx3. I've used it in 3 gun where rifle took some abuse getting dropped and thrown around and has held zero through it all. 4X with the fine german reticle is plenty on deer out to 300yds.

You might consider the same brand/model in 2-8 and 2.5-10. Might give you better options at 100 and 200 yards.
