Nikon M308 scope?

I'm considering buying one of the Nikon M308 scopes with the Nikoplex reticle. Does anyone own one? If so, what's your opinion of it?

Where did you find one? I ordered one from SWFA but it turned out they don't have any and have no idea when they will get some.
I cancelled my order with them and asked Midway to send me a notification but everyone is talking about having some in July.
Does the company you ordered from have them in stock?
 
I wanted the Nikoplex reticle. I will be surprised if they actually have any of either model. Several members of another gun chat site recently ordered this scope from SWFA and patiently waited only to be told when they called later that the scope was "back ordered".
I think I'll wait to order one from one of the outfits like Midway who are honest enough to tell you right up front that they don't have any yet.
 
I queried SWFA yesterday and their response was:

Unfortunately, we do not have these in stock.
The last I heard, none of these have shipped out from Nikon.
We were expecting a large shipment Friday but it never got to us.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

I've been trying to get one for the last month. No one has them and none have shipped as far as I know. The expected ship date approaches, then a couple days before it gets changed to another two weeks away. I've watched this happen several times.

Personally, I'm looking into other options because I'm tired of waiting.
 
So am I. My new Remington XCR Compact has been sitting here gathering dust since February. Some of the other brands of scopes are starting to look a lot better.
