Night Sights for GP100 ?

The range I go to is so dark that I cannot see the black sights on my Ruger. I replaced the front sight with a red one that Ruger makes and can barely see it. Are there any night sights available for the GP100?

Switching ranges is not an option since they are the only game in town.

Rear Sight Removal Help

Thanks for the info I have the sights on order.

I know how to replace the front sight on the GP100. How do you replace the rear adjustable sight? Will I need any special tools?

I have also been looking to upgrade my sights on my GP100. GunMac, did you order the red front site straight from Ruger? This one I'd assume:

The red sight is fine if there is enough light but sometimes reflection tends to wash it out.

There will be instructions with the sight kit. You'll need proper-sized cup tip punch, I imagine. You might try looking at the Kimber/Meprolight site for help as well.

I installed the Meprolights today. The rear sight went in with no problem. The front sight is slightly larger than the standard Ruger sights and will not seat flush. It sits a little higher but the rear sight adjustment should compensate for it.

Getting a sight picture is quite a bit easier than the standard Ruger arrangement and I look forward to trying it out at the range.
