Night Sights for Colt Combat Commander

Does anyone know if there are tritium night sights available for the Colt Combat Commander? I've seen some threads/reviews that seem to say that the slide needs to be modified to make them fit. Would that be for just particular types of night sights, but others should work?

Trijicon and Meprolight make sights that will fit the Colt Governmant and Combat Commander models without modifying the slide. They only come in wide tenon. When installing the front sight, make sure you have the correct type of front sight anvil so as to not damage the front sight tritium lamp.

Scorch brings up a very good point on being careful when installing night sights, actually either the front or rear sight lamps can be cracked if installed using the wrong tools or methods.
Also some cleaning solvents will kill the lamps and the lamps usually only last 7-10 years.

Colt has been making Combat Commanders for over 40 years, and the sights have changed over time.
Current Colts use Novak rear sights and dovetailed fronts, so you should be able to easily swap out old for new.
If it's a gun from the '70s or '80s, you'll probably have to have some work done to the slide, at least at the front, to fit night sights.
