NICS Question

A friend of mine in Virginia just got rejected from the NICS. He is very curious as to why he was rejected. I have never ran into this problem, so have no ideas where to go or who to ask about this info. Does anyone have any ideas where he can find this information out? TIA - SCatt
 
If he writes to the NICS droids, they should be able to give him an answer(*). The email addy is a_nics@leo.gov.
