"Gun Check Computer Down This Last Weekend Again
A friend of mine was at a gun show yesterday in Lancaster, PA at the Red Rose Arena. Apparently the background check computer was down for the second weekend in a row. No one could buy a gun, only ammunition.
The people were apparently angry, and the vendors were telling the people that the new thing for the government to do is to shut down the computer when there is a show.
Where is the media on this? We heard about it last weekend for the Million Misled March.
We need some outrage here, and some people to inform their congress critters that this is happening.
I was wondering if anyone else had this experience at other gun shows around the country."
Anybody from that area confirm/deny?
I think we should all start bombarding the NRA to push this. Something along the line of "They're complaining about a phantom loophole when they can't even stay on line as any normal business is required to".
I understand that the industry standard is 99.9995% online reliability. This is called 5 nine reliable.
We ought to demand the same as well as backup systems. If not, dealers are exempt from ANY prosecution for selling while the system is down. The anti don't like it? Then keep the system up, dammit!
